We sincerely honored and proud to host the 2018 European Rowing Under 23 Championships in Brest, the Republic of Belarus.
Brest is one of the oldest and most beautiful Belarusian cities that will celebrate its 1000 year anniversary in 2019. It is a truly European city with reach historical, cultural and sport traditions.
The main symbol of Brest is the memorial complex “Brest Fortress” devoted to the courage and heroism of city defenders during the Second World War.
Ecological pearl of our land is the National Park “Belovezhskaya Pushcha”, the oldest natural forest in Central Europe. “Belovezhskaya Pushcha” is famous for its ancient oaks, whose age is more than 500 years, as well as for big population of European Bison.
Brest sport facilities, such as the Football Stadium “Dinamo”, the Ice Hockey Palace, the Palace of Aquatic Sports, the Track and Field Athletic Arena, the Handball Stadium “Victoria”, allow to hold the biggest sport events.
The 2018 European Rowing Under 23 Championships will be held at the Brest Rowing Course, which already hosted the European Rowing Championships in 2009 and the World Rowing Under 23 Championships in 2010.
In 2018 we will provide not only high level in organisation of the Championships but also possibility to know closer Belarusian culture and traditions, historical monuments and natural beauty of Belarusian land.
We heartily welcome all participants of the European Rowing Under 23 Championships, guests and sport fans in the Republic of Belarus and the city of Brest.
